About The Position

The Warehouse Dock Worker helps ensure that products are prepared for shipment to ABC’s more than 125 stores. The role supports accurate and effective shipping-area operations in a physically demanding warehouse environment, where productivity and safety standards must be met. Sit-down forklift experience is required. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, with regularly scheduled days off Friday through Sunday. The posting gives two different standard-hour descriptions: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM and 8:30 AM–6:00 PM. Hours and scheduled days may fluctuate according to business needs, and greater flexibility and availability—including occasional nights and weekends—are required during the October, November, and December peak season. The work environment is not temperature controlled and is frequently humid; fans are provided. Employees frequently work around moving mechanical parts and at heights greater than six feet, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Noise is usually moderate to loud. The role involves prolonged standing and movement throughout the warehouse, lifting product, reaching, using hands to handle product, and frequently climbing and descending ladders or lift platforms.
