About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Loading Dock in New York, NY. This part-time role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Employees may vary their hours and may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures at a financial institution. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and completing shift documentation. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control or badge experience.
• CPR certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
