About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring part-time Security Guards to oversee a building loading dock in the Hudson Yards area of Manhattan. Guards serve and safeguard clients in industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves daily interaction with the general public, clients, and staff, and requires strong customer service skills. Shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight. Candidates should be flexible to work Monday through Sunday. The hourly pay rate is $21.20–$22.20.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Have at least one year of security experience.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
