About The Position

As a Security Officer - Loading Dock in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including financial institutions. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, communicate professionally, and document security-related observations.

The position is full-time and pays $20.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and unusual occurrences in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
