About The Position

The Warehouse Coordinator/Specialist oversees daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, material tracking, receiving shipments, contractor pickups, quality control, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment. The role works closely with construction teams, contractors, and leadership to ensure materials are accurately tracked, inventory levels are maintained, and warehouse processes run efficiently.

The position is on-site in Selma, Alabama, Monday through Friday, with some weekends. It involves working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Ability to operate and inspect warehouse equipment, tools, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, receiving, and customer service.
• Communicate clearly with construction teams, leadership, and contractors to ensure processes are followed.
• Conduct accurate cycle counts and update trackers; complete monthly material audits and tracker updates; resolve discrepancies promptly and report them to leadership as necessary.
• Complete contractor pickup sheets accurately and keep contractor tracking and inventory sheets up to date for monthly reporting.
• Monitor material levels to prevent shortages, conduct regular audits, identify low inventory levels—especially for high-use items—and complete audits in a timely manner.
• Follow safe procedures, complete orders, enforce expectations with contractors, schedule pickup times, communicate promptly with contractors and supervisors, receive materials, report damages, and keep yard and warehouse inventory organized.
• Reduce clutter and hazards and keep the warehouse and yard clean.
• Operate and regularly inspect warehouse equipment, tools, and forklifts; schedule repairs when needed.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
