About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for its Waterworks location in Fort Myers, Florida. The role involves working both inside a warehouse and outside in a pipe yard, where most products are stored. Outdoor work is year-round and involves exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some overtime as needed. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required.

Requirements

General computer skills for basic data entry.
Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds by hand and objects weighing 50 pounds or more using equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures.
Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate stand-up forklifts, including order selectors or cherry pickers, and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
Work outdoors year-round in a pipe yard in all weather conditions.
Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material accurately and promptly.
Receive and store inventory effectively.
Follow safety regulations and use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
