About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for its Waterworks location in Bismarck, North Dakota. The role involves working both inside a warehouse and outside in a pipe yard, where most products are stored. Outdoor work is year-round and requires exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some overtime as needed. The associate handles incoming inventory and prepares outbound customer orders, including large piping. The role requires safe use of stand-up and sit-down forklifts, compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment. The position may also include driving duties.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have general computer skills for basic data entry.
Must have a valid state-issued driver's license.
Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds by hand and 50 pounds or more using equipment.
Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
Forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) and a sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
Work outdoors year-round in the pipe yard in all weather conditions.
Accurately and promptly receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
Receive and store inventory effectively.
Follow safety regulations, including correct use of personal protective equipment.
Wear a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
May perform driving duties and responsibilities.
