About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at its Waterworks location in Bismarck, North Dakota. The position involves working both inside a warehouse and outside in a pipe yard, where most products are stored. Outdoor work is year-round and includes exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed. The role includes operating forklifts, preparing and moving orders and piping, receiving and stocking inventory, and following safety requirements, including correct use of personal protective equipment. The position may also include driving duties. Pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Have general computer skills for basic data entry.
Be able to carry objects up to 50 pounds by hand and 50 pounds or more using equipment.
Have a valid state-issued driver's license.
Complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
Forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate stand-up forklifts (order selector/cherry picker) and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
Work outdoors year-round in a pipe yard in all weather conditions.
Accurately and promptly receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
Receive and store inventory effectively.
Follow all safety regulations and correctly use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
May perform driving duties and responsibilities.
