About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for its Waterworks location in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The position involves working both inside a warehouse and outside in a pipe yard. Most products are stored outdoors, so the associate works year-round in all weather conditions and temperatures. The posted starting wage is $20 per hour and may be higher based on experience; the listed pay range is $16.53–$24.81 per hour. The role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some overtime as needed. Duties include operating forklifts, preparing customer orders, handling piping and pallets, and receiving and storing inventory. The associate must follow safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds. Pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Requirements

Forklift operator experience is required.
Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds by hand and 50 pounds or more using equipment.
General computer skills for basic data entry.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

Safely operate stand-up forklifts (order selectors/cherry pickers) and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
Work outdoors year-round in the pipe yard in all weather conditions.
Accurately and promptly receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
Receive and store inventory effectively.
Follow safety regulations and correctly use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness.
