About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate for its Waterworks location in Bakersfield, California. The role combines warehouse work with outdoor work in a pipe yard, where most products are stored. The associate works outdoors year-round and is exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed. The role may also include driver duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
General computer skills for basic data entry.
Ability to carry objects over 50 pounds by hand and 50 pounds or more using equipment.
A valid state-issued license is required.
Must complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory.
Forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate stand-up forklifts, including order selectors/cherry pickers, and sit-down forklifts to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
Work outdoors year-round in a pipe yard in all weather conditions.
Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material accurately and promptly.
Receive and store inventory effectively.
Follow safety regulations and correctly use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
May perform driver duties and responsibilities.
