Warehouse Associate (PM Order Selector)
About The Position
Charlie’s Produce is hiring a Warehouse Associate (PM Order Selector) to pick daily customer orders and check product quality. The role includes checking suggested substitutions when products are unavailable, unloading inbound loads, and putting product away in the correct coolers. Employees down-stack and organize product, help with repacking as needed, and run product to help ensure customers receive quality goods. The position works Sunday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. or later, on a rotating schedule. Open availability is required, and mandatory overtime may be needed. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math comprehension skills.
- Safety-mindedness.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of an Order Selector.
- Ability to work independently from a detailed list of tasks during a shift.
- Six months to one year of prior warehouse work experience.
Responsibilities
- Pick daily customer orders, check product quality, and check suggested substitutions when product is unavailable.
- Unload inbound loads and put product away in the correct coolers, down-stacking and organizing as needed.
- Help repack product as needed and run product to help ensure quality goods are sent to customers.
- Place orders on pallets with attention to product care, wet versus dry goods, and safe stacking for transport and delivery.
- Stage completed pallets in the loading area.
- Load trucks according to the delivery schedule.
- Pick short sheets as assigned.
- Complete necessary paperwork for items put away.
- Maintain the warehouse and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
