About The Position

We are seeking a hard-working and detail-oriented Order Selector/Filler/Picker to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly. The role involves reading incoming orders and selecting the correct products and quantities from the warehouse for delivery. Typical full-time start time is 8 a.m. Monday through Friday; typical part-time start time is 8 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. The position is located in downtown Glendale, Arizona, and offers 30–40 hours per week with bi-weekly pay.

Requirements

General knowledge of basic topics such as math, reading, basic accounting, and typing, equivalent to a high school diploma.
Basic math skills.
Ability to operate a hand truck and manual or electric pallet jack.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, walk more than six miles per day, bend, squat, lift, and perform overhead lifting.
Ability to work in heat and cold; the warehouse is swamp-cooled.
Must be able to pass drug tests and a background check.

Nice To Haves

One year or more of experience in a high-volume wholesale distribution warehouse; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Receive pick tickets from the Warehouse Supervisor and read orders to identify catalog number, size, color, and quantity.
Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of products are loaded and shipped.
Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms using material-handling equipment.
Organize items on pallets by delivery route.
Re-pack and weigh orders when required.
Maintain material-handling equipment by reporting damage or malfunctions and connecting the battery to the recharging station at the end of the shift.
Check inventory code dates and report spoiled or damaged products to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Help keep the warehouse clean, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
Stock items.
Perform additional duties as directed.
