Warehouse Order Selector
About The Position
Work in a Sysco warehouse as a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community. This is an active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack and/or forklift, organizing and palletizing products to build customer orders, and performing other duties as assigned. The work environment is described as safe, with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and the type of product being selected, including non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen products. The role may involve working in very extreme temperatures, including coolers and freezers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
- Frequently lift products weighing 10–75 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
- Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
- Work in very extreme temperatures, including a cooler and/or freezer.
- Work on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
- 1 year of selection experience.
- 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
