Warehouse Order Selector
About The Position
Warehouse Order Selectors work in a Sysco warehouse and help maintain the foodservice supply chain by picking customer orders for delivery to local foodservice venues. This is an active, physical role involving operation of an electric pallet jack and/or forklift, organizing products, and palletizing orders. The work environment is safe and may involve temperature and humidity variations based on local weather and the selected products, including non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen areas. On-the-job training and career growth opportunities are offered. No college degree or previous warehouse experience is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
- Frequently lift products weighing 10–75 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
- Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
- Work in very extreme temperatures, including cooler and/or freezer areas.
- Work on feet for 10–12 hours daily.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- One year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
- One year of selection experience.
- Two years of consistent work history preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
- Organize and palletize products to build customer orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
