About The Position

Work in a Sysco warehouse as a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community. This is an active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack and/or forklift, organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders, and performing other duties as assigned. The work environment is described as safe, with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and the type of product being selected, including non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen products.

The position offers on-the-job training and career growth opportunities. No college degree or previous warehouse experience is required, although the minimum requirements specify one year of relevant work experience. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift products weighing 10–75 pounds, and up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures, including cooler and/or freezer environments.
• Work on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• One year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• One year of selection experience.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
