Warehouse Order Selector
About The Position
Work in a Sysco warehouse as a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community. This is an active, physical role involving operation of an electric pallet jack and/or forklift, and organizing and palletizing products to build customer orders. Other duties may be assigned. The work takes place in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and the type of product being selected, including non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen areas. The position offers on-the-job training and career growth opportunities; no college degree or previous warehouse experience is required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
- Frequently lift products weighing 10–75 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
- Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
- Work in very extreme temperatures, including cooler and/or freezer areas.
- Work on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- One year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
- One year of selection experience.
- Two years of consistent work history.
