About The Position

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops supports outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor while meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. The role also receives products in the inbound section and ships products in the outbound section. Work includes processing orders, handling inventory, operating material handling equipment, and keeping the warehouse clean and safe. The position works Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. or until work is complete.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Basic proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write in English.
Apply acquired knowledge and skills to standard tasks, learn and apply new information and methods, and maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
Adhere to quality guidelines and established procedures, work under moderate supervision, and refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.

Nice To Haves

Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience preferred.
Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to process orders, including picking accurately, conducting quality control checks, sorting and consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Follow directions and adjust priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment, or pick small-unit items and place them on designated carts.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Use the Warehouse Management System to check in and/or send out products.
Operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
Complete housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
Follow site safety regulations, wear required personal protective equipment, and comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
