About The Position

Safelite’s Fulfillment Center Associate II prepares glass and other parts for distribution to field operation teams, helping ensure the right parts reach technicians on time. The role involves operating material handling equipment, completing warehouse and inventory tasks, and maintaining a safe and clean work area. The position is seasonal and scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Starting pay is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience with some material handling equipment, such as a forklift, order picker, or reach truck.
If hired to operate the order picker, must weigh under 300 pounds to meet equipment specifications and safety requirements.
Comfort working in varied environmental conditions, including seasonal heat or cold, and remaining in a stationary position for long shifts.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving moving or raising objects weighing up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Positive attitude and focus on exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Operate at least one type of material handling equipment, such as a forklift, reach truck, or order picker, including equipment raised to heights of up to 40 feet.
Perform daily warehousing tasks, including pallet breakdown and dunnage preparation.
Use handheld RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory.
Follow safety requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Maintain a secure and clean work area through general housekeeping.
Build steel pallets and prepare them for inventory replenishment.
Assist with offloading tractor trailers by hand.
Perform other duties as assigned.
