About The Position

The Warehouse Associate/Back Room Processor works in the Production department and reports to the Store Manager. This full-time role sorts and inspects products, identifies items and directs them to the appropriate department, and collects and transports merchandise from the distribution center. The employee must follow Salvation Army policies and applicable government regulations, maintain confidentiality as needed, and perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or a designated representative. The listed pay rate is $16.90 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime; the supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard beside overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Store Manager or a designated representative.
