About The Position

Island Tech Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse/Shop Assistant to support daily warehouse and production-shop operations. The role involves handling and organizing materials and inventory, maintaining the shop, and assisting technicians and production staff to support efficient workflow. The work takes place in a fast-paced production shop and warehouse, with occasional outdoor work. Personal protective equipment is provided and required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse or shop experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of tools and materials used in vehicle upfitting or general fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and parts.
• Pull parts and components for work orders and deliver them to the appropriate technicians or bays.
• Maintain organized storage areas and shop supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
• Keep the shop and warehouse clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Support production staff with general tasks, including preparing vehicles, moving parts, and disposing of packaging.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed; training is provided.
• Help load and unload trucks or customer pickups.
• Follow company safety protocols and contribute to a positive work environment.
