About The Position

Island Tech Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse/Shop Assistant to support daily operations in its warehouse and production shop. This part-time role is 25 hours per week and involves material handling, inventory organization, general shop upkeep, and assisting technicians to support smooth workflow and efficient production. The work takes place in person in a fast-paced production shop and warehouse environment, with occasional outdoor work. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
Strong attention to detail and time management.
Willingness to learn and take direction.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse or shop experience is preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of tools and materials used in vehicle upfitting or general fabrication.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and parts.
Pull parts and components for work orders and deliver them to the appropriate technicians or bays.
Maintain organized storage areas and shop supplies.
Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
Keep the shop and warehouse clean, safe, and free of hazards.
Support production staff with general tasks, including prepping vehicles, moving parts, and disposing of packaging.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed; training is provided.
Help load and unload trucks or customer pickups.
Follow company safety protocols and contribute to a positive work environment.
