About The Position

The Waitstaff position at Masonicare at Middlewoods of Farmington involves preparing and assembling food for residents and serving meals in an attractive, professional manner. The role includes responding promptly and accurately to residents’ needs, presenting menu information clearly and courteously, and interacting professionally with residents, families, and coworkers. The position also provides care and services guided by person-centered principles, including dignity, respect, compassion, coordinated support, and personalized care.

Requirements

Some high school education.
On-the-job training.
Knowledge of dining room systems.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Complete preparatory service assignments and post-service assignments in a timely manner.
Participate in menu class and present the menu to residents clearly, informatively, and courteously.
Wait on tables in a timely manner and ensure residents’ needs are met promptly and accurately.
Interact professionally with residents, families, and coworkers.
Report to work on time in the proper uniform: clean shirt, bow tie, apron, name tag, black slacks and shoes, and a pen.
Attend all mandatory education events.
Provide care and services that demonstrate person-centered care, including dignity, respect, compassion, coordinated care and support, and personalized treatment.
