Waitstaff (DAY/EVENING SHIFT)
About The Position
Masonicare Health Center – Wright Residence is hiring a Waitstaff employee for day/evening shifts, 15 hours per week, including every other weekend. The role serves residents in a professional manner and requires handling multiple tasks. On-the-job training is provided. The employee participates in daily menu meetings with the Chef and Supervisor, prepares and maintains the dining room, clears and resets tables, and follows the post-meal cleaning schedule. Employees are expected to wear the provided uniform neatly, report promptly for assigned shifts, and attend scheduled in-services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Ability to work in a team setting, meet deadlines, and follow processes.
- Availability for day and evening shifts, including every other weekend, is desired.
Responsibilities
- Take residents’ orders and serve them professionally while handling multiple tasks.
- Participate in daily menu meetings with the Chef and Supervisor to discuss the evening meal and specials.
- Check the dining room before meals to ensure tables are correctly set and neat.
- Clear tables, bus dishes to the dish room, and reset tables.
- Follow the post-meal cleaning schedule.
- Wear the provided department uniform, keeping it clean and neat.
- Monitor the posted schedule and promptly report to work at assigned times and dates.
- Attend all scheduled in-services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
