About The Position

Masonicare Health Center – Wright Residence is hiring Wait Staff for day and evening shifts, with 8 hours of work weekly, including weekends. Wait staff take residents’ orders and serve them professionally while handling multiple tasks. The role includes participating in menu meetings, preparing and maintaining the dining room, clearing and resetting tables, following cleaning schedules and department dress codes, monitoring the work schedule, attending in-services, and performing other assigned duties. On-the-job training is provided. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English. They should be able to work as part of a team, meet deadlines, and follow processes.

Responsibilities

Take residents’ orders and serve them professionally while handling multiple tasks.
Participate in daily menu meetings with the Chef and Supervisor to discuss the evening meal and specials.
Check the dining room before meals to ensure tables are correctly set and neat in appearance.
Clear tables, bus dishes to the dish room, and reset tables.
Follow the post-meal cleaning schedule.
Wear provided department uniforms that are clean and neat, in accordance with the dress code.
Frequently monitor the posted schedule and report promptly at the assigned time and date.
Attend all scheduled in-services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
