About The Position

Unidine is hiring a part-time Waiter/Waitress at Mother of Perpetual Help in Saint Louis, Missouri. The schedule varies by day and runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. Perks include no late nights and an employee meal. At least one year of prior serving experience is required.

The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers them to dining room guests. The position supports a clean, safe dining environment, follows service and sanitation standards, and coordinates with other staff to provide attentive service.

Requirements

• At least one year of prior serving experience.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested and accommodate reasonable requests and preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Coordinate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated.
• Communicate effectively and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to the supervisor.
• Set up the dining room before service and restore it afterward, keeping the area clean and meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
