About The Position

The VPK Lead Teacher plans, assesses, and instructs 4-year-old children based on each child’s needs and program requirements. The role develops fun, interactive learning experiences and supports the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.

The Lead Teacher manages the classroom and implements the curriculum, while following applicable licensing guidelines, company standards, and VPK program requirements. The role also builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success, and mentors fellow teachers.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a CDA, an associate degree or higher in education, or a Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Be able to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
