The VPK Lead Teacher guides preschoolers through their final step before kindergarten, supporting confidence, curiosity, and school readiness. The role delivers an engaging VPK curriculum, promotes academic and social-emotional growth, and maintains a safe, nurturing classroom with structured daily routines. The teacher partners with families and mentors junior team members to support each child’s development.

Requirements

• CDA Credential (required).
• VPK Credentials (required).
• 2–3 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Passion, leadership, and a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an engaging VPK curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten success.
• Use CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) practices to foster meaningful interactions.
• Plan and lead activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth.
