About The Position

The VPK Lead Teacher plans, assesses, and instructs four-year-old children according to each child’s needs and program requirements. The role develops interactive learning experiences, mentors fellow teachers, supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth, and leads classroom management and curriculum implementation. The teacher must follow licensing guidelines, company standards, and VPK program requirements, and build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a CDA, an associate degree or higher in education, or a Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Be able to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities
