About The Position

Tether is seeking a VP of Tech Expansion to lead global adoption and commercial expansion of its technology ecosystem, including artificial intelligence, self-custodial infrastructure, peer-to-peer systems, and digital and financial infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Chief Expansion Officer, the VP will oversee senior professionals and teams responsible for expanding Tether’s technology verticals and ensure a coordinated global strategy and compelling propositions for major companies, institutions, and governments. The VP will own the talent agenda for international expansion, including recruiting, developing, and motivating team members and strengthening the global leadership bench. This senior, hands-on leadership role requires technology understanding, commercial judgment, executive presence, and the ability to build global relationships. The successful candidate will engage with senior business, technology, and government leaders, translate complex needs into technology solutions, and turn opportunities into major partnerships and deployments. They will also develop repeatable products, playbooks, and approaches so deployments can scale across markets. International travel is required.

Requirements

12+ years of experience across enterprise technology, AI, digital infrastructure, fintech and digital assets, telecommunications, or technology business development, including senior leadership experience.
Strong understanding of emerging technologies, decentralized infrastructure, and digital platforms.
Proven experience originating, structuring, and closing major enterprise or government technology partnerships.
Ability to engage credibly with C-suite executives, government leaders, and other senior decision-makers.
Experience developing global go-to-market strategies across multiple technologies and markets.
Strong leadership experience, including managing senior professionals and international teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to coordinate commercial, product, engineering, legal, regulatory, and implementation teams.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate effectively in fast-moving environments.
Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or a related field, combining strong business expertise with a solid technology foundation.
Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
An established global network across major enterprises, technology companies, financial institutions, and governments.
International travel is required.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the global expansion strategy for Tether’s technology ecosystem.
Set priorities across current and future technology verticals and identify high-potential markets, industries, partners, and use cases.
Build relationships with CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, government leaders, and other senior stakeholders.
Originate, structure, negotiate, and close major partnerships and deployments.
Position Tether as a long-term technology and infrastructure partner.
Connect Tether’s capabilities to develop tailored, integrated solutions.
Translate market and partner requirements into opportunities for product and engineering teams.
Coordinate internal stakeholders and external implementation partners from initial concept through deployment and scale.
Ensure major projects are delivered on time, within budget, and against measurable objectives.
Monitor solution performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans.
Lead senior professionals and teams responsible for expanding Tether’s technologies.
Set priorities, KPIs, and accountability and monitoring frameworks.
Build a high-performing global Tech Expansion organization and promote collaboration with regional Expansion, product, engineering, legal, and regulatory teams.
Develop repeatable commercial and execution playbooks across technologies and markets.
Escalate issues to the Chief Expansion Officer with clear context and recommended options.
Represent Tether in strategic engagements with enterprises, institutions, governments, regulators, and industry leaders.
Act as a senior ambassador for Tether’s technology vision at global conferences, industry forums, and meetings with global companies’ senior executives.
Recruit, develop, and motivate team members and deepen the global leadership bench across verticals.
