About The Position

Modash is hiring a VP of Marketing to lead marketing for its influencer marketing Platform and scale the company’s existing traction. The company’s tools help brands discover, partner with, and pay creators, including managing relationships, measuring campaigns, and running affiliate programs. Modash says its mission is to help every creator earn a living by making influencer partnerships effective enough for marketers to shift more budget to creators. The role leads Platform marketing; marketing for the API is currently run separately. The VP will set direction, allocate resources, establish targets and plans, measure results, and ensure the team focuses on the right priorities. The team comprises 10–15 people across several teams, mostly led through their team leads. The role includes developing those leads, placing people in the right roles, and hiring where needed, while contributing hands-on when the scrappy environment calls for it. The VP will strengthen how Modash’s broader product story reaches the market, set standards for editorial and creative work, and make product marketing a year-round resource for Product and Sales. The role will also help shape the company’s next stage of growth, including increasing account value and retention, moving upmarket, and cross-selling products to existing customers. The position is leadership-focused: it requires knowing what good work looks like and helping the team deliver it, rather than personally executing every marketing task. Modash is looking for a context-driven marketing leader with experience scaling a marketing function, leading multiple teams and their leads, collaborating across Marketing, Product, and Sales, and achieving measurable results. Candidates do not need to have held a VP title or have decades of experience, but should have demonstrated that they can run an effective marketing organization. The role is fully remote in Europe, with flexible hours and regular in-person team offsites.

Requirements

  • Track record of product marketing and creative work that made product stories resonate and delivered measurable impact, with clear examples of personal contribution and results.
  • Held a key marketing role in helping a company grow from roughly $20M toward $100M in revenue.
  • Experience leading several marketing teams and their leads, including setting direction and developing leaders.
  • Experience repositioning a product for larger customers or growing account value through cross-selling.
  • Deep experience in more than one marketing channel, such as product marketing, advertising, SEO/AEO, or creator partnerships.
  • Ability to recognize and set a high standard for good work across marketing teams, without needing to personally execute most work.
  • Experience building lasting collaboration across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
  • Clear writing, sound decision-making, and the ability to bring people along.
  • Demonstrated experience running an effective marketing organization; a prior VP title and decades of experience are not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing for Modash’s Platform and the team behind it.
  • Set marketing targets and plans, measure performance, and decide how resources are allocated, what to prioritize, and what to stop.
  • Lead 10–15 people across several marketing teams, primarily through their team leads.
  • Put people in appropriate roles, hire to address team gaps, and develop existing leads and their teams.
  • Set the bar for editorial and creative work and develop compelling stories about Modash’s products and capabilities.
  • Ensure product marketing supports Product and Sales throughout the year, not only at product launches.
  • Help shape the company’s growth strategy, including increasing account value and retention, moving upmarket, and cross-selling products to existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Finance on account value goals, investments, and what marketing needs to win larger customers.
  • Review teams and initiatives to identify capacity issues, opportunities to double down, and work to discontinue.
  • Coordinate with Sales on qualification and handling of inbound demo requests.
  • Run regular one-on-ones with marketing team leads, clarify direction, help resolve issues, and support team development.

Benefits

  • Personal development budget for courses, books, and conferences.
  • Real ownership and room to make decisions and act without unnecessary red tape.
  • Regular team offsites.
