VP of Marketing

Pop! Promos•Philadelphia, PA
•Hybrid

About The Position

Pop! Promos is a Philadelphia-based supplier of custom branded merchandise sold exclusively through promotional products distributors. The VP of Marketing will own the brand, value proposition, and demand engine supporting the company’s growth. This is a commercial leadership role rather than a communications-focused position: the VP reports to the CEO, leads the demand generation and creative teams, and shares a revenue goal with sales leaders. The role focuses on growing the number of distributors who buy from Pop! Promos and the depth of their purchases, while helping those distributors win their own clients through the company’s creative work and products. The VP will lead integrated marketing across brand, demand generation, and creative; build marketing automation and account-based marketing programs with revenue attribution; and oversee go-to-market for new products through a documented four-month launch process. The position also includes developing two marketing leaders, building and defending the annual marketing budget, partnering with the VPs of Inside Sales and Field Sales, and reporting through a weekly scorecard. The role is hybrid from the company’s Philadelphia office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years carrying a revenue or pipeline goal in a B2B channel business.
  • Proven success building demand through resellers or distributors that own the end-customer relationship; candidates will be asked for a specific example.
  • Track record of driving organic growth by improving existing performance without giving up margin.
  • Experience owning brand, demand generation, and creative as one integrated function.
  • Hands-on experience building marketing automation and account-based marketing programs with attribution trusted by a CFO.
  • Comfort being measured weekly on commercial outcomes rather than impressions.
  • Record of developing managers into stronger leaders.
  • Fluency with CRM, marketing automation, and AI tools, including SugarCRM, HubSpot, Claude, Google Workspace, and Asana.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity from the Philadelphia office.

Nice To Haves

  • Branded merchandise experience, or channel marketing experience in IT (VAR and MSP programs), building products, foodservice, or manufacturing through distribution.
  • HubSpot experience.
  • Experience with EOS or a similar operating cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Grow distributor penetration by increasing ordering distributors, first orders, reactivations, products purchased, and end users per distributor.
  • Improve the creative team’s contribution to sales by increasing the share of product virtuals that convert to orders without slowing turnaround.
  • Own demand generation, marketing automation using HubSpot integrated with SugarCRM, and account-based marketing, with attribution connecting campaigns to closed revenue.
  • Refine distributor and end-user ideal customer profiles and communicate the value proposition to distributors and to end users through distributors.
  • Lead go-to-market for new product launches within a documented four-month launch process.
  • Lead and develop two marketing leaders.
  • Build and defend the annual marketing budget.
  • Partner as a peer with the VPs of Inside Sales and Field Sales.
  • Report on a weekly scorecard.
  • Own brand, demand generation, and creative as an integrated marketing function.

Benefits

  • A seat at the leadership table, reporting to the CEO, with ownership of how the company grows.
  • Opportunity to make the company’s recognized creative capabilities a competitive advantage.
