About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum, and assist with customer service as needed. You will communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and share student progress and goals. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Communicate students’ progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
