About The Position

The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher works to increase student count and supports students’ continued growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The position also supports an excellent Customer experience and helps build long-term student relationships. The teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs, assists with Customer service as needed, and communicates frequently with students and families about each student’s progress and goals. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ or parents’ goals and communicate student progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
