About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and help each student continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves delivering an excellent customer experience and building lasting relationships with students and families.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which you are proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and embrace parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
- Communicate each student's progress and goals with the student and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
