About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking an educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, while building positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates. The role partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention, and uses musical expertise to support students’ growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $12 per hour for non-teaching work and $13–$24 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of music teaching experience, especially with piano.

Nice To Haves

Further teaching experience with voice or related instruments.
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
