About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and ensure each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves providing an excellent customer experience and building long-term student relationships. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum, and assist with customer service as needed. You will also communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher, and share student goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on the needs of the community.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families and build trusting relationships.
Share students’ or parents’ goals and student progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
