About The Position
A precision machining job shop serving aerospace, defense, medical and microelectronics customers is adding one to two VMC Machinists. The work is short run (typically 1 to 30 pieces), tight tolerance and different every day, in an AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified shop.
Requirements
- Proven CNC mill setup and operation experience, job shop background strongly preferred
- Ability to hold tight tolerances on short run work
- Comfortable editing programs; full programming is a plus
- Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
- A steady work history
- Must be a U.S. person (work involves ITAR controlled technical data)

Responsibilities
- Set up and run vertical machining centers to produce high precision parts
- Edit programs at the control and prove out new jobs
- Select tooling and work holding, set offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds
- Inspect your own parts in process and at final using precision measuring tools
- Read blueprints, technical drawings and work orders
- Keep machines, tooling and your work area in good order
