About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregiver to provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients in private homes near the Burnsville and Bloomington areas. The role is described as involving 12-hour day shifts and focuses on promoting clients’ safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The posting also notes that shifts may range from 1 to 12 hours, with pay rates varying by shift length and experience.

Requirements

Have a compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Have a negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Be available to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
