VM-Analytics Manager
About The Position
This role manages the design and production of standard and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions that support business decision-making. It involves gathering and documenting report requirements, writing specifications, and using reporting tools to create and modify reports as needs evolve. The role validates and tests reports for accuracy and quality and collaborates cross-functionally to improve reporting processes. Success is measured by timely delivery of accurate reports that meet business requirements and provide actionable insights to leadership. The work supports organizational performance and strategic and tactical objectives through data-driven decisions and effective reporting and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of related work experience, or an advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Acceptable areas of study include Business, Finance, Information Management, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience mining data and developing reports using a variety of reporting and analytics software packages.
- Aptitude for learning new reporting software packages.
Responsibilities
- Gather and integrate complex data from multiple sources to produce comprehensive reports and insights.
- Prioritize and drive new reporting requirements to completion by assessing business needs and coordinating cross-functional efforts.
- Identify and communicate key insights from reports and analyses to inform leadership decisions.
- Proactively enhance reporting and analytics processes through cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct complex ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting while serving as a subject-matter expert.
- Provide guidance and support to junior employees or act as a team lead to facilitate knowledge sharing and project execution.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management.
