About The Position
Tidewater Eye Center and Virginia Eye Consultants have joined together to create an expanded ophthalmology network across Coastal Virginia. The organizations are seeking two board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeons to meet immediate medical and surgical retina demand and expand retina services across the Hampton Roads and Williamsburg regions. One position is in Portsmouth/South Hampton Roads and one is in Williamsburg, with Norfolk serving as a central hub. The surgeons will join a collaborative team of ophthalmologists and subspecialists, supported by an established patient base, extensive optometric and ophthalmology referral network, advanced clinical and surgical infrastructure, and experienced clinical support teams. The opportunity includes a broad mix of medical, surgical, and complex retinal disease, as well as the potential to help grow and shape regional retina services and pursue long-term leadership, growth, and partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible.
- Fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and surgical retina care, including care for complex retinal disease.
- Help expand and shape retina services across the Coastal Virginia regional network.
