About The Position
Tidewater Eye Center and Virginia Eye Consultants have joined together to create an expanded ophthalmology network across Coastal Virginia. The organizations are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Glaucoma Surgeon to join their growing team and help expand specialty eye care across the Hampton Roads and Williamsburg regions. The surgeon will step into immediate clinical and surgical glaucoma demand within a well-established regional network. The role offers an established patient base, a strong regional referral network, a broad surgical mix including MIGS, traditional glaucoma procedures, and cataract surgery, and exposure to diverse glaucoma pathology and complex cases. The physician will work with collaborative ophthalmologists and subspecialists, advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, and experienced clinical and surgical support teams across a multi-location network. There is an opportunity to help grow and shape glaucoma services, with potential for long-term leadership, professional growth, and partnership.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in the relevant specialty.
- Fellowship-trained in glaucoma.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and surgical glaucoma care to meet immediate patient demand.
- Perform glaucoma procedures, including MIGS and traditional glaucoma surgery, as well as cataract surgery.
- Help expand and shape glaucoma services across the regional network.
