About The Position

Retina Institute of Virginia is seeking a fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join their established, growing retina practice in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-volume medical and surgical retina practice with an established patient base, strong clinical support, and flexibility to build your surgical schedule. Retina Institute of Virginia is a retina-focused practice with five physicians providing comprehensive treatment for retinal and vitreous disease throughout Central and Eastern Virginia. With two primary offices and three satellite locations, the practice serves patients throughout Richmond, Fredericksburg, Tappahannock, Colonial Heights, and Williamsburg. Physicians are supported by advanced diagnostic technology and an experienced clinical team, allowing them to focus on efficient, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon.
• Ability to practice both medical and surgical retina.
• Willingness to participate in a weekend/holiday practice call rotation of approximately 8-9 weekends annually.
• Willingness to travel to the Williamsburg satellite location.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training or interest in uveitis is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment for retinal and vitreous disease.
• Perform approximately 6 surgical cases per week.
• See approximately 50 patients per day.
• Travel to the Williamsburg satellite location approximately 20% of the time.
