About The Position

Retina Institute of Virginia is seeking a fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join their established and growing retina practice in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-volume medical and surgical retina practice with an established patient base, strong clinical support, and flexibility to build your surgical schedule. The practice has two primary offices and three satellite locations, serving patients throughout Central and Eastern Virginia. Physicians are supported by advanced diagnostic technology and an experienced clinical team, allowing them to focus on efficient, high-quality patient care. The practice offers advanced care for a broad range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, retinal vascular disease, uveitis, and ocular trauma.

Requirements

Fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon.
Ability to practice both medical and surgical retina.
Willingness to travel to satellite locations.
Ability to participate in call rotation.

Nice To Haves

Additional training or interest in uveitis is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform approximately 6 surgical cases per week.
Conduct approximately 50 patient visits per day.
Provide comprehensive treatment for retinal and vitreous disease.
Practice both medical and surgical retina.
Travel approximately 20% to the Williamsburg satellite location.
Participate in a weekend/holiday practice call rotation of approximately 8-9 weekends annually.
