About The Position
Ophthalmology Consultants is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join its established and growing ophthalmology practice in St. Louis, Missouri. The position offers an established patient base, a strong regional referral network, immediate demand for retina services, experienced clinical support, and an established ophthalmology network. The physician can build a high-volume medical and surgical retina practice and help grow and shape retina services throughout the region. The Retina Specialist will diagnose and treat a broad range of retinal and vitreous conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema, retinal tears and detachments, retinal vascular disease, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, vitreous disease and complications, and other complex medical and surgical retinal conditions. The practice offers efficient clinical and surgical infrastructure, a collaborative team of ophthalmologists and optometrists, and opportunities for leadership, mentorship, partnership, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible.
- Fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of retinal and vitreous conditions.
- Provide medical and surgical management of retinal disease.
- Develop a high-volume retina practice, including injection and procedural services.
- Help grow and shape retina services throughout the St. Louis region.
