About The Position

Ophthalmology Consultants is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join its established and growing ophthalmology practice in St. Louis, Missouri. The practice has an established patient base, a strong regional referral network, and immediate demand for retina services. The incoming physician can build a medical and surgical retina practice with experienced clinical support and an established ophthalmology network. The role offers an established ophthalmology patient population and referrals as a foundation for developing a high-volume retina practice. The physician will diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of retinal and vitreous conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema, retinal tears and detachments, retinal vascular disease, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, vitreous disease and complications, and other complex medical and surgical retinal conditions. The physician may also help develop and expand retina services throughout the St. Louis region, with opportunities for leadership, mentorship, long-term partnership, and professional growth.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible.
Fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat a broad range of retinal and vitreous conditions.
Provide medical and surgical management of retinal disease.
Build and grow a medical and surgical retina practice, with the opportunity to develop a high-volume injection and procedural practice.
Help develop and expand retina services throughout the St. Louis region.
