About The Position

The Vitamin/HBA Clerk works in Sprouts Farmers Market’s Vitamin Department and helps ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The role includes maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise with stamps, markings, shelf tags, and signs, and using supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer customer questions and provide education within appropriate parameters. The clerk is also familiar with upcoming department events and seminars, shares information about weekly ad items, and helps customers locate products throughout the store. The work takes place in a fast-paced, friendly retail environment.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.

Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches, for distances up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance; maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds that requires up to 35 pounds of force for up to 2 hours and distances up to 20 feet; and walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
Team members under 18 may not use knives other than safety cutters, use ladders, operate garbage or cardboard compactors, operate motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), or work in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Accurately price merchandise using stamps, markings, shelf tags, and signs.
Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with events and seminars on the department calendar.
Share information about weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Adhere to safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
