About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Associate maintains an attractive and compelling store presentation aligned with seasonal themes and corporate standards. The role supports a visually engaging shopping experience that drives customer traffic and sales by maintaining merchandise displays, updating signage and graphics, implementing visual directives, and coordinating with store management and associates. It also supports inventory organization and adapts visual strategies to customer responses and changing store needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of retail experience focused on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
Ability to follow corporate guidelines and effectively implement visual standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.

Responsibilities

Ensure in-store displays and product arrangements adhere to corporate visual and merchandising standards.
Maintain neat, attractive merchandise displays and update them for seasonal changes and product launches.
Organize products into eye-catching displays that improve the customer shopping experience and support sales.
Implement corporate visual directives while balancing aesthetics and functionality.
Collaborate with store management to execute visual updates and campaigns in alignment with brand standards and seasonal themes.
Check and update in-store signage, promotional displays, window signage, and perimeter signage.
Ensure seasonal signage is displayed correctly and consistently with corporate branding guidelines.
Lead by example in upholding merchandising and presentation standards.
Support and guide associates on visual presentation practices and techniques, and provide feedback and training.
Work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to plan and implement visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
Communicate merchandise or visual challenges and provide solutions to maintain consistency across the store.
Assist with product inventory and stock organization so the appropriate merchandise is displayed to support sales targets and promotions.
Create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment through visual merchandising.
Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage and adapt strategies to improve engagement.
