Visual Merchandising Associate
About The Position
The Visual Merchandising Associate maintains an attractive and compelling store presentation that reflects seasonal themes and corporate standards. The role updates and maintains store signage, window displays, perimeter graphics, and merchandise displays to create a visually engaging shopping experience that supports customer traffic and sales. The associate implements corporate visual directives, works with store management on visual updates and campaigns, supports and guides other associates, and helps organize merchandise and inventory. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting and moving merchandise up to 40 pounds, and climbing ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of retail experience focused on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
- Ability to follow corporate guidelines and implement visual standards effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.

Responsibilities
- Ensure in-store displays and product arrangements comply with corporate visual and merchandising standards.
- Maintain neat, attractive merchandise displays and adjust them for seasonal changes and product launches.
- Organize products into eye-catching displays that enhance the shopping experience and create sales opportunities.
- Implement corporate visual directives, balancing aesthetics and functionality.
- Collaborate with store management to execute visual changes, updates, and campaigns in alignment with brand standards and seasonal themes.
- Regularly check and update in-store signage, promotional displays, and window and perimeter signage.
- Ensure seasonal signage is displayed correctly and consistently with corporate branding guidelines.
- Lead by example in maintaining merchandising and presentation standards; support and guide store associates on visual presentation practices.
- Provide feedback and training to team members on presentation of merchandise and displays.
- Work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to plan visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
- Communicate merchandise or visual challenges and provide solutions to maintain storewide consistency.
- Assist with product inventory and stock organization so the right merchandise is displayed to support sales targets and promotions.
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment.
- Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage and adapt strategies where needed to improve engagement.
