About The Position
The Visual Merchandising Associate is responsible for maintaining an attractive and compelling store presentation aligned with seasonal themes and corporate standards. This role supports a visually engaging shopping experience that drives customer traffic and sales by maintaining displays, product arrangements, signage, window displays, and perimeter graphics. The associate implements corporate visual directives and collaborates with store management to execute visual changes, updates, and campaigns. The role also supports and guides associates on presentation best practices, helps organize inventory, and monitors customer responses to visual merchandising. Physical duties include standing for extended periods, moving merchandise up to 40 pounds, and climbing ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of retail experience focused on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
- Ability to follow corporate guidelines and implement visual standards effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders.

Responsibilities
- Ensure in-store displays and product arrangements comply with corporate visual and merchandising standards.
- Maintain the appearance and neatness of merchandise displays, adapting them for seasonal changes and product launches.
- Organize products into eye-catching displays that improve the customer experience and support sales opportunities.
- Implement corporate visual directives with attention to aesthetics and functionality.
- Collaborate with store management on visual changes, updates, and campaigns aligned with brand standards and seasonal themes.
- Regularly inspect and update in-store signage, promotional displays, and window and perimeter signage.
- Ensure seasonal signage is displayed correctly and consistently with corporate branding guidelines.
- Lead by example in maintaining company merchandising and presentation standards.
- Support and guide store associates on visual presentation best practices and techniques.
- Provide feedback and training to team members to maintain high presentation standards.
- Work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to plan and implement visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
- Communicate merchandise or visual challenges and provide solutions to maintain consistency across the store.
- Assist with inventory and stock organization so appropriate merchandise is displayed to support sales targets and promotions.
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment.
- Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage and adapt strategies where necessary.
- Stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds, and climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.
