Visual Merchandising Associate
About The Position
The Visual Merchandising Associate maintains an attractive, compelling store presentation aligned with seasonal themes and corporate standards. The role updates store signage, window displays, and perimeter graphics to create an engaging shopping experience that supports customer traffic and sales. The associate ensures displays and product arrangements meet visual and merchandising standards, maintains merchandise presentation as products and seasons change, and implements corporate visual direction. The role also collaborates with store management, guides associates on presentation practices, assists with inventory and stock organization, and monitors customer engagement with displays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of retail experience focused on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
- Ability to follow corporate guidelines and implement visual standards effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.

Responsibilities
- Ensure in-store displays and product arrangements adhere to corporate visual and merchandising standards.
- Maintain the quality and neatness of merchandise displays, updating them for seasonal changes and product launches.
- Organize products into displays that enhance the customer shopping experience and sales opportunities.
- Follow and implement corporate visual directives, balancing aesthetics and functionality.
- Collaborate with store management to execute visual changes, updates, and campaigns in line with brand standards and seasonal themes.
- Check and update in-store signage, promotional displays, and window and perimeter signage.
- Ensure seasonal signage is displayed correctly and consistently with corporate branding guidelines.
- Lead by example in upholding merchandising and presentation standards; support and guide associates on visual presentation best practices.
- Provide feedback and training to team members on presenting merchandise and displays to high standards.
- Work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to implement visual changes based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
- Communicate merchandise or visual challenges and provide solutions to maintain consistency across the store.
- Assist with product inventory and stock organization so merchandise supports sales targets and promotional activities.
- Create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment through visual merchandising.
- Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage and adapt strategies where necessary.
